WINNIPEG – Jeanne Beker, a Canadian television personality, newspaper columnist, book author, and fashion icon, dropped in to Winnipeg on October 21 to co-host the 17th Annual Guardian Angel Benefit for Women’s Cancer. She wasn’t slated to have her makeup done, but when she saw the renowned makeup maven Anthony Polvorosa of PROVICI Cosmetics with his team of makeup artists working on the models, she had to experience the sensational treatment herself.
Aside from sponsoring the event, PROVICI also provided makeup artistry for the performers and models participating at “Love Life, Laugh Out Loud!” This fashion show was organized by The Guardian Angels, a group of Manitoba women reaching out in support of other Manitoba women facing life with cancer. The special guest models, whose lives have been touched by cancer, were also treated to complimentary makeovers by PROVICI before heading to the prize-filled evening of entertainment at Winnipeg Convention Centre. The gala was held in support of Women’s CancerCare of Manitoba.
Having enjoyed an illustrious career as host of the world-syndicated Fashion Television and as a judge on the reality television show Canada’s Next Top Model, Jeanne Beker was befitting as a co-host of the fundraising fashion show, for she knows the runway very well. She commended PROVICI’s line of cosmetics and was appreciative of the superstar treatment that she and the event’s participants received from the makeup studio.
